This is an endless question that I get asked when discussing my academic journey and career goals.
I say, ‘fashion’ cannot exist without psychology...without the HUMAN EXPERIENCE.
Ultimately, products are just products without the necessary LIFE, energy, passion, services, and collaborative environments that make them exciting, meaningful, relevant, and significant for users and consumers while also being...marketable, profitable, and sustainable for brands and companies.
My undergraduate background is in psychology and sociology. SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) allowed me to explore and take my studies a step further into graduate-level fashion, specifically Luxury and Fashion Management with a hint of Service Design, Design Management, and Graphic Design.
My multifaceted education has taught me that all things are interconnected, especially at the intersection of PEOPLE (e.g. consumer/user behavior &values), DESIGN (i.e. products & services) , and BUSINESS (marketing & retailing).
This is even more evident through today's constant advancements in technology and communication tools and the value, products, and services that coincide. Therefore, I am open to opportunities that expand my knowledge and experience in consumer behavior, branding, marketing, retailing, and experience design. My goal is to apply this knowledge in new ways of understanding the end consumer and their multiple identities in this vast network of life. Read Less
