Project: Chihuahua's Mexicatessan Pop-Up
Agency: Modern Museum
Context:
This agency-initiated project ultimately was a year-end office party that spiralled into a month-long pop-up Mexican restaurant in Durban, South Africa. The brief was simple: if we were going to be open for only 30 days, how did we leave a memorable impression?
Action:
By marrying burrito's and the bizarre, I developed a brand language that held the vibrancy and iconography of popular Mexican-culture, but with a twist. Clever copy and juxtaposed popular imagery created detailed, intricate elements.
Role: Art Director, Designer, Sign-painter
I developed and rolled out all printed and digital files for the brand, including signage and install at the venue.
Thanks.
