The project is an invitation for the Mid-Autumn Festival from the Embassy of Vietnam to other countries’ ambassadors and their families in Washington DC. The event is not simply a festival celebration but an exclusive and upscale experience for the selected guests and their families.
Close-up to the die-cut detail in the inviation. The die-cut has a rabbit on the background of the full moon die-cut.
The invitation is rectangular with the structure of a poster fold with a die cut in the middle of the “poster,” forming a three dimensional paper lantern when the invitation is fully opened. The four die-cut panelin the middle of the invitation can be detached from the Invitation, and function as a separate souvenir lantern for the guest.
In the back of the invitation is the instruction showing how to use the invitation as a lantern.
