The main purpose of this project was to research alternative solutions to driving regular combustion engine vehicles in highly populated areas.
This solar car concept combines the freedom of a motorcycle with the comfort of a car,
creating new and more efficient ways of transportation and parking.
Solis is constantly producing electricity through its external solar panels, the energy is stored in the battery or alternatively (if hocked up to the grid) used as payment for parking in highly populated city areas.
In-wheel electric motors frees up a space where the combustion engine, suspension and transmission would usually go. The Solis is a two person commuting vehicle with a footprint close to that of a smart car but the with a lower center of gravity making it visually safer.
