In the 19th century, George Washington and Henry Knox decided to civilize Native Americans, which led to the most intense conflict between them. Following these events, the Indian wars intensified. Although the victory was usually with the US military, in 1924 the US government finally recognized the rights of Indians, and they have been considered citizens of the United States since their inception.
