Choose Your Trane Story was a 10 week collaborative project where we, a team of 16 students, worked with Trane Technologies to develop a concept for an immersive on-brand experience for investors, commercial customers, and current or potential employees. The experience would emphasize Trane Technologies’ commitment to sustainability, spotlighted their unique products and values, made HVAC accessible for a non-technical audience, and created an emotional connection. The final product being a 14 minute, interactive, 270 degree experience that the animatics below illustrate. Please note as this project focused solely on concept development, the music in these animatics is temp score sourced from other film and themed entertainment works along with a demo graciously provided by George Streicher in Scene A.
My role within this project was Resource Manager and Concept Artist. I was also responsible with the design of an alternative VR experience, as well as research of technology and facilities.
HOW TO WATCH

The experience is designed so that every guest experiences the same beginning, middle, and end. They all walk away with the same core values and messages no matter what they see. How they get there though, is completely up to them. Scenes 2 and 4 are drawn from a pool of 5 scenes, which can be updated and changed in the future. To experience the show as intended, watch scene 1, then pick a letter, scene 3, then pick another letter, and finish with scene 5.

ALTERNATIVE VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE
The alternative solution for Choose Your Trane Story delivers the same story and visual as the original concept, but with the use of virtual reality devices. With the use of VR, the show arena in which the experience takes place is reduced by roughly 40% of the original show space diameter. Each guest would be issued an individual VR headset that will allow them to experience the same show planned for the larger show space. They will also be able to make their choices on a device attached to an adjacent arm rest. The show arena will be themed similarly to the original concept.
