Personal exhibition-action.

In the modern world, there is a feeling sometimes that everything can be bought, but in fact, not at all. To some things that are not at all expensive in monetary terms, we attach very great importance, assigning them a symbolic value. The main topic I've been working with lately is prices and values. The exhibition-action “Eight and a half cents” is dedicated to the beginning of the artist’s career, the value and importance of the first personal exhibition for the young artist, it compares the significance of the symbolic and literal value of every centimeter of the wall in the gallery. I reflect on exchange rates, high prices, mortgages and expensive rents, on an emotional assessment of phenomena and events. I use mixed media, combining collage, assembling, acrylic on canvas, as well as photo documentation of stocks and installations. In the works used price tags, stickers and print on them using a pricetag gun. The exhibition featured photographs and collages on canvas; a performance was held at the opening of the exhibition, dedicated to the beginning of the artist’s work in the field of contemporary art, which resulted in a total installation.
I rented an art space in Moscow and taped all the walls with price tags with the rental price. The premises were rented out without a contract, therefore, theoretically, I did the exhibition for free, and therefore, almost all price tags printed “0 rub.” But sometimes other amounts come across, because in fact I paid for the rent. Also at the exhibition were presented my works, united by a common technique and a common theme of price  and value.

Paintings on canvas, acrylic, print on price tags, stickers.
