Air Max Rotation of my Dreams [embroidery]

The idea of a sneaker rotation is to show off a group of shoes that you rotate in and out of your wardrobe either day to day or while on holiday. It's a way to display your favorite shoes or just your current flex.

The concept of this project came from the fact that I love sneakers, but cannot always afford or acquire them (maybe due to limited availability or sizing). Since I can't always buy the shoes I like, I thought I'd stitch them. My layout reflects the same concept of a sneaker rotation.
I decided to work with sneakers falling under the Air Max brand for consistency and variety. The Air Max brand provides so many different styles that all highlight comfort through "visible air". Having so many different styles to choose from made it easier for me to add variety to my work.

I was also very specific about which colorways I wanted to choose in each sneaker because it was important for me to pick shoes that don't overlap in repetitive colors, but still choose sneakers that I want! Choosing stitches was important to me in the planning process because I wanted to capture the look or feel of specific textures in each sneaker. Certain shoes have specific textures that I wanted to mimic or they had multiple fabrics of the same color overlapping. Choosing different stitches allowed me to show those textual differences.
Images included are initial sketches, and process photos.
