Ohio College2Careers handout 1

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) developed a new program, Ohio College2Careers, to ensure students with disabilities have the support they need to complete their degree and/or credential, earn higher wages, and meet the demands of tomorrow’s labor market.
With the new program launching in 15 public colleges and universities in Ohio, the agency needed new, fresh marketing materials to reach a new target: college students with disabilities. The goal was to reach students who could benefit from services through an aspirational, relatable visual design that also met Ohio branding guidelines. Given the target population, the final design is brief, clear, and relatable.

Because the same design was intended for 15 separate schools with 15 different points-of-contact, I had to think outside the box to personalize contact information easily. I created the business card packet in the inner flap of the handout, allowing each college’s point-of-contact to add standard or braille business cards.
The materials helped OOD successfully launch Ohio College2Careers. Deciated OOD counselors have reported satisfaction with the resource and favorable student response.
