My new vegetable toy is a sweetcorn. The texture of the corn on the cob is created by knitting "hurdle stitch" which is a simple combination of knit and purl stitches.

I have been working on a box of different vegetables, and if you are new to making knitted toys these make an easy introduction to the craft as they don’t have lots of pieces to sew together.
