This is an architectural exploration aggregating my dreams.
Inspired by my favorite Borge’s writing, Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius, where depicted a world understood “not as a concurrence of objects in space, but as a heterogeneous series of independent acts”, I wish to construct something spatial through narratives, adjectives, psychological experiences instead of measurable facts and nouns.
Dreams turn out to be the perfect materials to build from. They are series of mental process which do not develop in space but successively in time, but with an unexplained immediate spatial quality.
After several rounds of writing, drawing, building sets to sketch from, I decoded some of my dreams into an abstract geometric map.
The map serves as a scaffold for aggregation - each piece serves as a surface linking between two forms that are later generated. Therefore, the aggregation is based on the narrative or the experience, rather than real entities.
