This project was inspired by one of the most memorable places in Mexico, each student would have been assigned a state to design and create a useful, simple and ingenious product using steel and applying the metal bending technique.

This project was carried out through extensive research about different design fairs, from the exhibition in Milan, as well as WantedDesign in New York, Design Tokyo, among others, since the objective from the beginning would have been to exhibit it at a fair of this level.
Following the investigation stage, information was collected about the material to be worked with (steel) and all its processes. We also searched about the state (in this case Sinaloa) and its highlights, such as its traditions, typical foods, history, geography and more, in order to have sufficient fundaments for the development of the project.

Once that was done, insights and themes were generated to define the concept of exploration skits. After the first round of sketches, more ideas were exploited until they were able to reach the ones that were considered most suitable for the topic and for the chosen State.

Blueprints, Prototypes, models and renders were made in order to visualize the work in more detail.
Finally and as a result an ashtray was obtained, referring to the sugar mill that was in the city of Los Mochis, when burning the incense sticks it was taken as if it were the sugar cane burning and the way in which the tizne ran in the air.
