An introspective series on the hard "truths" we are taught as women. We're taught to hate ourselves and our bodies before we're taught to have a voice. We're taught that as women it is undesirable to be angry and to speak out against dehumanizing sexist behavior. We need to be sweet and fragile to be desirable. 

This series was silk-screened onto large pieces of homemade hard candy symbolizing how I as a woman will not sugar coat the injustice women face. I do this by silkscreening onto the candy thus making it inedible. We will not be consumed by society.
