30/May/2020 - As part of my detective series, I decided to create a VHS cover and a VHS product design to go with it. For the cover, I wanted to try a style that is different from my usual style. So, bold colours and using strokes to create a '3D' effect. Also, minimal detail. I added grains at the end to create an LA noir feeling.
The VHS design itself is more inline with my style. I am more satisfied with how this one turned out more than my VHS cover, but I think that's only because it's within my comfort zone so it was nice to try something new. The products were completely created on illustrator so the 3D aspects of the VHS were a little difficult to create, but a fun learning experience nevertheless.
