Located in the breezy highland area of Bandung District, the project is designed for a guesthouse - catching the market of youth who enjoyed staycation. Within 150 sqm land, the design is focused on maximizing occupancy while giving the best experience to stay.
The facade is formed with a clean white zinc roof with asymmetrical shapes. It gives the playful breath also uniqueness as what could be expected inside. The green hints and exposed material are also composed through the facade to soften the composition.
With a total footprint of around 50 sqm, BO House tries to redefined space as efficiently as possible. This house could fit nine guests; in an arrangement of 4 queen-sized bed pods and a sofa bed, outfitted with kitchen, dining room, living room, and two bathrooms and a viewing deck. As the site has a height difference of about 5 meters - stepped up from the upper to back of the site, the spaces are composed in split level. It gives the unusual connection between the space.
The small house footprint gives a generous open space on the back of site. It designed with an amphitheater and an open dining space for the BBQ-ing session or casually chill to enjoy the fresh, breezy atmosphere of the area. This space is also suitable for the future development of the second guest house.
