When fishermen go out for fishing, in the rivers that once flowed freely, they encounter these cool-looking, deep diving and fish munching smooth-coated otters. Otters have a reputation of scaring off even the big guys like crocodiles which come in their way. Fishermen follow these guys to find a richer school of fishes, isn't it bit selfish, well that's us, as always. When there are other alternatives for us to survive it is not the same for them. Fishermen put the dynamite when they get too lazy to catch fishes, in addition to polluting the river and harming the ecology, they might end up harming these dynamic creatures as well. They are hunted too, more often than not for, their skin. They don't skin us, do they? Let's give more than a chance to these ferocious yet smooth, fishers of the rivers. Soon we realise that we share the lands and rivers not own them, better it is.

This year's otter's day was celebrated on 28th May 2020.
