My sustained investigation was guided by the question: what in today's society represents good and evil? I pushed this thought further by analyzing the past and future.

The main tool I used throughout each image was the lasso tool. I wanted to keep some of the original pictures included in my pieces but often utilized the gradient tool to distort the image as well. My constant use of red was to heighten the effects of evil, while greens and whites were brought to light in my pieces symbolizing good. For example in image 2 and 3 red was the main color used to show a nefarious nature. My main focus was capturing the viewers eye by having a center of interest with the evil or good item; image 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, and 10 all utilize this technique. By practice of arranging images I learned that this was the easiest way to engage the viewer in the theme I wanted to portray. The specific arrangement of red in images 2, 3, 4, and 6 were ideal to depict evil. The contrasting colors of white and red were imperative to distinguish the opposing themes. Experimenting with arrangement and other colors allowed me to revise and create a final product with a strong meaning to back it up.
