Aubergines are also known as Eggplants in US English.

Technically a fruit, but they are cooked as vegetables.  Knitted veggies are super toys to encourage little ones to eat veg and greens, or you can use them as decorative items in your home. I have been working on a box of different vegetables, and if you are new to making knitted toys these make an easy introduction to the craft as they don’t have lots of pieces to sew together.

My knitted veggies are worked flat on straight knitting needles, but most pieces could easily be converted to knitting in the round if that is your preference.
