Project description
In this COVID affected situation our prime motto was to build a low-cost ventilation system and as I was the main designer of this project. My responsibilities were: • Designing and analyzing layouts, components, and detailed drawings for new products with a Project Manager and design team. • Applying drawing tolerances using spec limits and GD&T, and performing accurate tolerance stack-up analysis. • Ensuring completeness and accuracy of all CAD work, and maintaining well-organized records. • Utilizing 3D modeling software to produce new 3D models and drawings, and drawings of revised designs. • Defining and implementing business processes for Multi-BOM management (CAD BOM, eBOM, and mBOM). • Planning for configurations during both development (engineering prototypes) and commercialization. • Advising various stakeholders on the technical issues that affect the product design, production cycle-time & cost.
