This is one of my all-time favorite books, and I had to make something that contains the essence of the book! These lines from Chapter 1 "The Widow Douglas she took me for her son, and allowed she would sivilize me; but it was rough living in the house all the time, considering how dismal regular and decent the widow was in all her ways; and so when I couldn't stand it no longer I lit out." are worth reading twice,because of the message they carry.

 

When the Widow tries to 'sivilize' Huck, he tries to live like that for a few days. But when he realizes that that kind of life isn't for him, he sets out to live the kind that is.

 

If you find yourself living a life that you'd rather not live, take a lesson from Huck's book and just up and go. Great adventures lie ahead!
