A Thanos art that’s obviously inspired from the Avengers movie, I believe it’s a huge leap forward to a previous Thanos fan art that I have created. I wanted to show his dominance and supremacy over the galaxy, because as we know, Thanos is not a being that conquers cities, countries or even continents, he is an entity whose decision shakes the whole galaxy and universe. His mind is above mortal capabilities, his presence keeps an entire planet on vigilance, and his threat moves the entire Guardians of the galaxy.
Thus he is portrayed as towering above the planets, crushing one in front of him, even without infinity gauntlet he must not be underestimated. His design was inspired by some of the zbrush models available on the internet, which i do not know the artist. I like his original hulking stature in the comics than the leaner and more realistic one portrayed in the movie concept art. While I wanted a more sophisticated and modern design to his armor, I also wanted to keep it simpler for easier comic adaptation. A modern texture on his suit would be nice, but it seems to distract and conceal his bulging muscles, thus I simply added some lines to indicate the suit layer.
Overall I am well pleased with the result, as such, I did a quick mock up of how this would probably appear in the cover of a comic book. Spread the love guys.
