What Story Do We Tell? | Street Photography

Looking Beyond People

Empathy, morals, and ethics.
It's key to try and empathize with your subject.
Some people don't want their picture taken.
Maybe there are metaphors in your subjects.
So you might empathize with a non living object.
It's always your choice.
Your tool set goes beyond the camera.

“If the photographer is interested in the people in front of his lens, and if he is compassionate, it’s already a lot. The instrument is not the camera but the photographer.” — Eve Arnold
This has a huge part in our focus of being unique photographers.
What we choose to put in front of that lens.

What is your goal?

Street photography is very fluid.
Mainly capturing materials of life.
Often its documenting your own personal life.
