User Journey Map
Students enroll in classes two to three times a year. University can be a stressful time as is, and sometimes the enrollment process adds to that stress. Given a video of a student's time enrolling for classes, I created a user journey map for the enrollment process.
Current Enrollment Process
Lack of hierarchy, an overwhelming amount type, no clear instructions are given, and cluttered type and elements can be seen on the current site.
Empathy Map
Creating an empathy map allows us to see what the user is thinking and feeling. This aided in coming up with meaningful solutions that will connect with the user.
As-In Scenario
The As-Is scenario gives insight into the process as a whole and how it can be streamlined. My user, Kae, really needs the process to be streamlined; she spends a lot of wasted time going back and fourth to figure out enrollment.
Final User Journey Map
The user journey map created shows the entirety of the process for my user, Kae. Solutions are given for the pain points of the process that will improve not only Kae's experience, but all UMSL students enrolling.
