My Final Year student film.

Nokken’s Lullaby is animated short about a young girl who has lost her precious pocket watch in an isolated forest lake. When reaching into the waters to retrieve it, she encounters a mysterious water creature called the Nokken.

The Nokken offers to help her, in order to get her precious pocket watch back, the young girl needs to simply listen to one of his music compositions. Confident in herself, she agrees, little does she know that the Nokken has a trick up his sleeve.

This animated short is inspired by a Norwegian mythological creature called the Nokken. They are water spirits who live in inland waters. They are evil creatures who use their beauty and song to lure young children and women to into their watery deaths.
I worked on this using a mix of toonboom/clip_studio_Paint and after effects to create this piece. The violin music was something i commissioned from joylin music as i found that nothing could be good enough for my animation even though it wasn't in my budget. After long months of working on it, the project felt like a baby to me.
