Monster Project
Arts 332 - Vector Illustration
The objective of this project was to create a monster based off of a creative story. After the monster was completed the goal was to create realistic implementations for the design. When creating my design I best imagined it being implanted into baby appeal, in kids rooms, or used as a pattern for baby related material. To help carry this out I created design that was friendly, welcoming and allowed for color variations.

Monster Story:
Scientifically, engineer, the Water-bot, escaped out of Aqua-Tech labs on June 10th, 1860. He is known to be a playful and peaceful creator, that has disappeared from the history textbooks and the minds of societies due to his independent and introverted nature. The Water-bot was tracked into the Trenches of the Ocean; however, he was allegedly spotted and placed near the Bathypelagic Zones of the Ocean in 1940. It is believed that he has been slowly working his way back up from the ocean depths. However, if spotted retreats back down until the memory of his existence becomes a mere folk tale. This creator is said to be a boxy, scaly, and colorful being that has micro tech woven into his DNA. This tech illuminates his skin and is the reason the Water-bot can live in the trenches of the ocean for so long without an ounce of daylight. Five tentacles protrude from the bottom of him and enable him to travel eighty miles per hour when squeezed together, and the fins on either side navigate the direction he goes in. The Water-bot ate small nano fish that were engineered to carry an electric charge that he could absorb, however after his escaped, this was not an option anymore. The source of food or fuel for the Water-bot is unknown. Still, there are some theories stating that due to the tech in his DNA he does not need food, however, others argue that he has found a source of food or fuel that satisfies him in the trenches of the Ocean, which allow him to reside down there for so long.
