''LA MURALLA ROJA''

Fashion designers always had their peculiar way of translating the most unorthodox sources of inspiration into wearable clothing. Through intelligent interpretations and sinuous translations, even the most common objects can find its place in fashion. Architecture is no stranger to these myriad of references. Neil Anthonie particularly enveloped his capsule collection inside the architectural marvel of the La Muralla Roja apartment complex, designed by Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill.

Neil intentionally entitled the collection to bear its inspiration to assert the obvious. He wanted the clothes to visually expound the overt features of La Muralla Roja, specifically, its shifting shadows, stiff geometric facade, and the notable crimson shade it casts. Using atypical silhouettes, a monochromatic color palette, and clever artisanal techniques, the designer calculatedly rendered his collection with an approach that vividly showed its inspiration, while creating flattering garments. Neil Anthonie’s La Muralla Roja collection is simply a celebration of his design process that displays versatility, essence, and artistry rooted from curiosity and progressive ideologies.
