A home is a ‘lab’ where one tests their abilities
 
 

During the Colonial Period, the ‘Married Quarters’ were considered a state of the art, luxurious building. My proposal reuses the site for residential purposes and seeks to maintain and exploit the buildings’ features and sustainable characteristics. The extensions integrate harmoniously with the historic structure and allow for flexibility, adaptability and expansion of the inhabitants identity.

The project is characteristed by solids and voids. The  arcade is reinterpreted in the top floor extensions while other structures fill the voids of destroyed parts of the fort.
