Typographic Postcards

Postcards
The brief was to create five typographic postcards that captured a significant aspect of the chosen typeface. The typefaces are Caslon, Helvetica, Rockwell, Didot and Snell Roundhand.

The design of Caslon visualises the font falling out of style. Helvetica shows how the intensity and passion emerges when increasing the boldness of the type. Rockwell shows that it is designed to stand alone and doesn't belong in a body of text. Didot, used in both Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, show the two merging into one fashion magazine brand. The design of Snell Roundhand highlights the similarity between its capital Q and its number 2.
