Wanted to recreate this badass poster for a long time.
David harbour made for a pretty badass hellboy but unfortunately the movie didn't do justice to the material of Mike mignola. They should have taken it slow and build up the major arcs over different parts, david harbour definitely looked the part .....it could've actually been legendary AF.

I still do not know why the superman archetype attracts me soo much, although i relate to the grounded heroes and stories as i read more and grow older; so its definitely not a power fantasy but just the range of interesting,rich and deep character studies told around it, there is something about this character that i have latched onto since my childhood( and its definitely not just the red capes, although I won't deny if it were ...red capes are cool ..Period !! )
He has still stayed my Numero uno..always and forever !!
And the deconstruction of this character archetype attracts me even more so ....

This is my tribute to some beautiful and well told stories and characters of the superman archetype, from all over the comic book spectrum !!

We will live out our lives, get old and die ....but as long as there are stories and storytellers to tell them ...as long as human beings need hope, truth and justice....this character will live on in some form or shape ...he is IMMORTAL ...he is ETERNAL !!

Did a piece on super-men archetypes few months back ...it would only be fair to acknowledge the other side of the coin. Dark and light ... without the murkiness and treachery of the dark ..the light has no purpose...both essential to the cycle ...as neither can survive without the other !!

To the world he is known as THE PHANTOM .... Some people know him as the "The Ghost who walks" , i first got to know him as "Aranyadeb".

Lots of nostalgia and memories attached to this character. Truely an iconic character and a fan favourite for many back in the day and one of the very first costumed hero/vigilante encounter in my life. ♥️💀
