A photographic study of the British obsession with small holdings and allotments. The interest in allotments has grown hugely due to celebrity chefs like Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. However the majority of the consistent small holders are not trendy young families who watch these programs but the older generation that have grown up with war rationing and never heard of the celebrity chefs. The main focus of these images is the village allotments of Prestbury, Cheltenham which is where my parents held their small holding. All images shot on medium format Kodak Portra 400.
