Lilo is a swing-chair, that utilize the structural stiffness of the wire rope, in order to give a relaxing, floating-like motion.
At the course we had to design a swing-chair, that provides some kind of  movement, mechanical or structural operation. I designed a this lounge-chair inspired by my previous shape and structure-studies and ancient folding chairs.  This floating motion I chose provides the calming, relaxing feel that the ordinary swing-chairs do, but the floating motion is given by wire-web that supports the seating surface. This connection always gives some controlled freedom.
