This painting was part of a series I did on patterns for my junior studio painting class. Since I love sports, I dedicated this piece to my favorite NBA player from the Phoenix Suns basketball team, Goran Dragic. I used different text such as All For Orange, Hard Work, Goran Dragic, The Dragon, and #1, which are associated with the team in some way. I took each letter and reflected it either horizontally or vertically to create a unique design and then overlapped them.

Here is a close-up of the colors. I experimented with a different brush stroke style by lightly brushing the colors on the canvas versus making them solid and completely filled in.
This next painting was just for fun. I decided to just go for it and try my hand at splattering the paint on the canvas. I had initially painted a striped pattern underneath but I didn't really care for it so this is what it turned into.
