Adi Tala is a short documentary film on Shantha Tabla Works, one of the oldest Tabla and Mridangam makers of Bengaluru, produced by Vinyas Studios.
Shantha Tabla Works was started by R S Anantharamaiah, a renowned Mridangam player in 1962 at OTC Road in Balepete-Chikpete area in Bengaluru. After the passing of R S Anantharamaiah, his son Srinivas Anantharamaiah has been continuing the art of Tabla and Mridangam making.
