The Poet

The other night, I should've gone to bed, but I suddenly felt like making something just for the sake of it, without thinking if anyone would appreciate it. It ended up as a quick painting of around 2 hours.

Come to think of it, art is only going to be pure without a purpose, but that can be a luxury sometimes.

Regarding the title I was trying to fashion after the Tagore painting 'Poet on the Island of Birds', but I couldn't figure out where my poet would be, therefore I just titled the piece 'The Poet'.

I quite like how this turned out and intend to make a series to fulfil this project.
