The Ankh | Winning Poster Design - Typoday 2020

The Story:
I've been selected as a winner by the international conference: Typography Day 2020 in its 13th Edition, and from 550 entries from all over the world. Typoday2020 was held in beautiful Amman, Jordan for the first time in its history, and my winning poster is displayed on the official website of the conference, book, and the exhibition at The Applied Sciences University in Amman. |  www.typoday.in

Design Concept:
Following the theme of the competition: Typographic Dialogues: Local-Global, I took the Ankh symbol -An Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol represents the word "Life" that was most commonly used in writing and in art in ancient Egypt- because of the similarities between the Ankh and the T in Typography; The experiment was to build a 3D twisted mesh linking between these two typographicals, one from a great ancient civilization and the other we use today all over the world, the past as a mirror of the present day and still, a part of it.
