LOST ISLAND
Lost Island is a place with unknown location, completely astray, and forgotten. There are moments in life when I feel like I’m on that lost island. Moments full of confusion and disorientation. This project started exactly in those times. It combines film and digital photography of places that feel ordinary, but once looked at in different lightning, they gain a completely different imagery. Photos that are presented in this project are taken in Moldova and Georgia. Places captured in Georgia, my homeland, to me seemed happy and joyous in daylight, but at nighttime they completely transformed into gruesome and depressive scenery. That somehow, reflected my state of mind. When I travelled and got away from my everydayness I discovered places in Moldova that purely represented and reflected my frame of consciousness
