I'm very fortunate to have the opportunity to cover sporting events for one of my clients. The brief has me there to capture footage that shows the fan interactions, sponsor or corporate partner involvement and get a sense of the emotion and story of the event. Last year, I was also asked to capture some still frames that did not duplicate what AP or any other press was capturing but to try and get moments that encapsulated the event. It was the times between the action. This was to be used for internal advertising and possibly for a 2011 campaign to promote the event. This was my first foray into still photography.
All images were captured in game, no stobes and all completely unposed and spontaneous in the arena, during the games. Color correction was used to enhance the emotion of each shot.
The final video produced for the job is included as well.
