A hand-lettering project exploring themes of greed and humanity.

Learning is a hand-lettering challenge inspired by Inktober and its lesser known cousin, Callivember. The plan was, for every day of November, I painted a letter of the alphabet, thematically inspired by nature. However, by day ten of watercolor, the theme of the project radically transformed.
This series begins with initially beautiful and pure-hearted lettering.
But slowly, you begin seeing the appearance of mankind. In small ways at first. A cabin here, a field there. They take from nature, harmlessly at first.
But at the turning point, mankind begins taking too much and starts to destroy their home. Hidden underneath pretty illustrations, decay slowly takes over, championed by greed.
By the end, they realize their errors, only to realize it's too late.
But it's okay. In the end, it'll all equal itself out somehow.
