Landscape & Architecture | Taichung Edition

Here you will find landscape and architecture landscapes of several areas in central Taiwan, Taichung.
這項目為台中某些地區的景觀與建築物的插畫。
A small alleyway at night in a district in Taichung.
A digital painting of a construction site that I came across in Taichung city. I wanted to experiment with a new canvas on Adobe Photoshop, so this one differs from the others.
Here's an illustration of a place called Natural Way Six Arts Center (道禾六藝文化). According to the Taichung Travel Net, it was constructed in 1937 during the Japanese colonial period, and it was a place for Japanese wardens and police officers to do their martial arts.
An illustration of Sea of Flowers in Shinshe (新社花園), a flower garden with fields of a variety of flowers. Every year, there would be a festival with a different theme. It was Alice in Wonderland this year, recreating scenes from the movie/book. At the corner of the field sits a food court, which was basically a mini-night market. Overall, I was surprised by the scale of the fields and how far we had to walk during my first visit. It was surprisingly crowded for a weekday at the time as well, with plenty of visitors, photographers, and families. I did enjoy the beautiful flowers and the Alice in Wonderland theme. It was very nice!
A street in a small district in Taichung city. As you can see in the illustration, there are some places in Taiwan that have red lanterns hanging by the street, which I think is real quite special.
A digital painting of a place called Taichung Broadcasting Bureau (臺中放送局). According to Wikipedia, it's an old station that was constructed during the Japanese era to broadcast radio and news in central Taiwan. This bureau is actually near a shopping district called Yizhong, so I dropped by to visit it. I liked the architecture and the interior of the building. There were plenty of handcrafts for sale inside, such as tiny bags and earrings. It was a nice place to visit!
A digital watercolor-style landscape of a park and a temple in the background. I remember visiting this park for the first time and really liked the temple there.

This is also available on my Displate and Redbubble

Some houses in Wufeng district.
A restaurant called Dong Shi Tong (東喜堂), with a lake across from their building.
An illustration of Zhaixing Villa (摘星山莊), a set of old buildings that was built in the 1870s. I love visiting places with architecture like this.
