Fantastic Mr. Fox Food Packaging

A set of three small food packages based on the warm color palette of Wes Anderson’s stop motion film and Roald Dahl’s original story, Fantastic Mr. Fox. The project aims to exhibit the specific color palette, its effects on the viewers as textural, emotional, and symbolic elements, and introduce the main theme of the film. Since food is the driving force of the plot and conflict between the main characters, food packaging appropriately introduces the film’s theme and the three peculiar farmers.

Inspired by the ending where Mr. Fox’s family successfully breaks into the grocery store and celebrates, the set of food packages are designed to act as props within the grocery store in the scene. Keeping to the limited palette, the packages utilizes different patterns and specific combination of colors to distinguish each farmer. The accordion book in the shape of the farmers’ staple produce depicts the film’s use of color in more detail through selected scenes and quotes.

The food packages of each farmer's project is packed into one larger set. This larger package gives a short description of the movie and illustrates scenes in the movie.
Walt Boggis is a chicken farmer, probably the most successful in the world. He weighs the same as a young rhinoceros. He eats three chickens every day: breakfast, lunch, supper, and dessert. That's twelve in total per diem.

Frank Bean is a turkey and apple farmer. He invented his own species of each. He lives on a liquid diet of strong alcoholic cider which he makes from his apples. He's as skinny as a pencil, as smart as a whip, and possibly the scariest man currently living.
-Badger about Bean, from Fantastic Mr. Fox
Nate Bunce is a duck and goose farmer. He's about the size of a pot-bellied dwarf, and his chin would be under the shallow end of any swimming pool on the planet. His food is homemade donuts with smashed-up goose livers injected into them.
