Development of a new footwear category for CAROLINA. This collection was conceptualized from the outset to be competitive in the lightweight athletic safety footwear category. The direction was to minimize the amount of pieces in the upper and limit the need for extra stitching by utilizing printed hot melt designs. The added benefit of this approach was differentiation in the market and appealing to younger demographics entering the workforce.
