User-centered design study to create a smartphone based system for helping people save food, save money on food, and use food more efficiently.  We conducted primary research on how users inadvertanely waste food, where the waste occurs, and measures to help prevent food waste.  The results is a comprehensive system of a smartphone app with smart sensors and food containers that coordinate with the app to help reduce food waste.
