Logo re-create: Jean Paul Gaultier

Hi, sometimes great brands have logo designs that I just can't click with. This page is about these brands where I'm tweaking their logo designs into my liking. Feel free to share your opinion or even your redesign.
The very firs logo re-create is going to be: Jean Paul Gaultier
Their current logo in 2020 looks to me as a logo from 1992. A typewriter meets MacGyver. The website looks fantastic so it must be Mr. Gaultier idea to stick to the old logo. I love the steampunk theme but this military typewriter logo just doesn't goes with it.
the website as it is in (13/12/20)
First I've looked for a more appropriate font that feels more from the steampunk universe. Steamwreck has become my choice. It has a problem. The curvatures in the fonts are not consistent and the "i" was smaller then a "t" but it is not something I couldn't fix
For Jean Paul first I was looking for something similar just a newer feel that also goes with the Steamwreck font.
Ended up using Google's Caladea font in bold and stick it above the Gaultier name with the respect of their blatant connection (I hope you know what I mean). I've tried it in a more sophisticated manner. Voilà!
Now let's see how the website would look like with the new design.
Ahh, thats better :) The End

Logo re-create is a personal touch on well-known brands where I feel the design is outdated or boring.
