I have been given a task on creating four different kind of shapes adding shadows and highlights using two different techniques in Adobe Illustrator. 

The first one is using the gradient tool. I simply created shapes using the shape tools and combine small shapes together using shape builder tool. For the colour, shades and as well as the shadow, I used the gradient tool. I tried my best to make it looks as okay as possible because this is my first time and I am still a beginner.

The second one is using vector shapes in different colour shades, tints and tones. I used the same shape as above and I had created various shape using pen tools for the inner shape and also anchor point tool to add or remove anchor point. Solid colours and shadows were used. At first I do not know how to do, but with the help of my friend I manage to do this task. It looks weird but I have already tried my best to make it okay. I do not know why the cylinder becomes grey when I wanted green colour but I just leave it as it is.
