SAMSUNG - AIRPORT CHARGING STATION
This project started with the idea of "brand awareness" having small spaces around the airport for example, where you could charge any Samsung Galaxy (or cellphone with a USB C or A port)
For doing so, the inspiration came by one of the simplest forms in the world
The Triangle
This form could be easily used as any format that the space required, since you could have just one module, three modules or even up to five modules in a space!
And so the design was created:
The charging station should have three requirements:
1. Visible brand
2. Modern Material, in this case aluminium brushed and perforaded metal.
3. Charging spot
For this last requirement we used the common knowledge of colors and light. When your cellphone has low battery it usually turn on a small red LED light on top of your screen, and when you charge it and it gets fully on 100% it turns green.
My main idea was not to use a red light around the spot where you could put the cellphone, so it wouldnt be too agressive for the viewers, but something more calm like an orange LED light, and then when your cellphone were fully charged the light would change to green.
