PLACE (VIEWPOINT) 1
This term concerns me in its double meaning: as a designation of a small, point-like area in space and time but also in the inner psychic reality of human beings. Such places are called locations or viewpoints.

My perception of tourists (to which I sometimes belong) photographing the world corresponds to this picture: Countless cameras circle around objects in search of the most rewarding places.
However, Flusser's statement can be reversed: every point of view is surrounded by innumerable phenomena, but not all of them are equally productive.
I settle down in one place and keep the eye of my camera aimed to the phenomena around me. The resulting pictures show the surroundings of my location, in the middle of which the camera sits like a blind spot. (When you look at photographs, you are usually not aware of the camera point of view.)
The image of flies and vultures (actively) circling around their potential prey can also be reversed: the camera remains (passively) observing, waiting, lurking in one place. To this, the adequate picture from the animal world is the spider, which sits in the middle of its web and waits (for prey).

(STAND)ORT 1
Der Begriff beschäftigt mich in seiner doppelten Bedeutung: als Bezeichnung eines kleinen, punktartigen Bereichs der äusseren raumzeitlichen aber auch der inneren psychischen Wirklichkeit des Menschen. Diese Orte werden Standorte oder auch Standpunkte, Gesichtspunkte genannt.
„Alle Phänomene sind von einem Schwarm zahlloser Standpunkte umringt, wie Aas von Fliegen und Geiern. Aber nicht alle Standpunkte sind gleich ertragreich.“

Diesem Bild entspricht meine Wahrnehmung fotografierender Touristen (zu denen ich manchmal auch gehöre): Unzählige Kameras schwirren um Objekte herum und suchen die ertragreichsten Standorte.
Der Satz von Flusser lässt sich jedoch auch umkehren: Jeder Standpunkt ist von einem Schwarm zahlloser Phänomene umgeben, aber nicht alle Phänomene sind gleich ertragreich.
Ich lasse mich an einem bestimmten Ort nieder und richte das Auge meiner Kamera auf die Phänomene um mich herum. Die so entstehenden Bilder zeigen die Umgebung meines Standorts, in dessen Mitte sich wie ein blinder Fleck die Kamera befindet. (Wenn man Fotografien betrachtet, hat man den Standpunkt der Kamera meist nicht im Bewusstsein.)
Auch das Bild der (aktiv) um ihre potenzielle Beute kreisenden Fliegen und Geier kann umgekehrt werden: Die Kamera bleibt (passiv) beobachtend, wartend, lauernd an einem Ort. Das adäquate Bild hierzu aus der Tierwelt ist die Spinne, die in der Mitte ihres Netzes sitzt und (auf Beute) wartet.
