Custom Doll
A ideia de fazer essa boneca veio de uma atividade que propunha a criação de diferentes padrões no Adobe Illustrator, com o tema "ciborgue", e sua aplicação em algum objeto. Idealizei uma boneca que seria uma personagem ciborgue e teria os padrões criados por mim pintados em seu corpo.
The idea of creating this doll came from the proposal of the creation of different "cyborg" themed patterns in Adobe Illustrator, and its application on some object. I idealized a doll that would be a cyborg character and would have the patterns created by me painted on her body.
A base da customização foi um corpo branco de boneca Barbie da Mattel. Lixei o corpo inteiro com uma micro retífica Dremel a fim de aumentar a porosidade do material e torná-lo mais adequado a receber a pintura. Usei tinta preta em spray e tinta acrílica líquida para desenhar à mão no corpo cada tipo de padronagem, com pincéis finos.
The basis of the customization was a white Barbie doll body from Mattel. I sanded the entire body with a Dremel rotary tool in order to increase the porosity of the material and make it more suitable to be painted. I used black spray paint and liquid acrylic paint to draw each type of pattern by hand on the body, using small and fine brushes.
A cabeça utilizada é da boneca Moxie Girl da MGA, e não fiz nela nenhuma alteração além de um corte na parte de trás. Abaixo estão fotos de várias etapas do processo.
The doll head used was from MGA's Moxie Girl doll, and I didn't make any changes on it other than a cut on the back. Below are pictures of various steps in the process.

Desenhei parcialmente os padrões à lápis no corpo e a partir disso me guiei na pintura.
I partially drew the patterns with pencil on the body and from there I guided myself in painting.
Cortei um dos braços do corpo e, com uma furadeira, fiz nele o furo onde fixei com cola vários fios coloridos que desencapei previamente.
I cut off one of the arms and, with a drill, I drilled the hole where I fixed with glue several colored eletrical wires that I had previously stripped.
