The above advert was for the Student Bible magazine. The target group is young students who experiment with their fashion choices and styles and therefore a more funky and eye-catching approach was taken for this one. Minimal text with only the essential messages.
The collage of the shadows has the University of Edinburgh tartan as the first layer and just before the model, we can see some colours as second layer, which wants to illustrate how much fun tartan can be, with so many hidden elements that one can discover through experimentation. The Line drawing on the background is a line drawing of Edinburgh where Gordon Nicolson Kiltmakers and University of Edinburgh are located. The newspaper letters are to illustrate that anyone can wear a kilt no matter the different background, as Gordon Nicolson Kiltmakers encourages individuality and diversity.
