Beautiful people, amazing food and a stunning country.
Why Vietnam? Why not? My first trip there was inspired by many factors. First, my love of their cuisine. Not all Asian food is the same, and Vietnamese fits my palate perfectly. Just the right balance of spicy, sweet and exotic. Just the right textures. Simplicity in your bowl, but also so complex. Second, is my friend Qui. Born in Can Tho, but left Vietnam when he was 6 months old with his parents for a two hour boat trip that lasted 4 days. He has not been back but he did have me spend some time with family that is still there. A very special part of this trip. Third, I needed to go somewhere I had never been. Vietnam was the answer. Perfect!
