Everywhere in the world, biodiversity is threaten. What is happening?
Few multinational companies dealing in soybean and meat are replacing this two biomes with pasture and fields.The scheme is based on the Greenpeace reports Slaughtering the Amazon and Eating up the Amazonand visualizes the relationship between the main actors involved. We pointed out the most famous brands involved, such as Monsanto, Cargill, ADM, Bunge, McDonald's, JBS-Bertin, Tyson and Marfrig.
Data are always rounded off, for this reason we chose a sketchy style. We also think that data visualization, especially when deals with environmental or social topics, should be as accessible as possible.
For this reason we chose the language of comic books, an expressive language close to the pop culture.
